Position Title: Manager – Coding, Solutions & Consulting
Qualification:  Bachelors degree
Location:         US

Under general direction from the AVP of Solutions & Consulting, this position is responsible for supporting the sales & solutions team in all aspects of solution development and client consulting as it relates to our hospital coding service offering. This may include support and leadership for on-site consulting engagements, contributing to the creation of evaluation summary reports and revised workflows as well as proposal generation based on initial client meetings. This position needs to be familiar with the entire scope and dependencies of facility coding in a hospital setting and will serve as a liaison between functional and technical team members and client management.  Clients will include hospitals and healthcare systems.  This position requires significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Inventurus leadership, sales & solutions to assess client needs, develop proposals and be involved with the growth, management and administration of our hospital coding outsourcing & consulting operations
  • Provides detailed assessments of coding processes with focus on process improvement, cost savings and value through outsourcing
  • Supplies subject matter expertise in hospital coding and compliance. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of business problems
  • Develops detailed work plans, refined process flows and reports on evaluation findings
  • This position may eventually provide leadership in the development of a robust off-shore coding team

 Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  •  5-10 years experience coding inpatient and/or outpatient medical records, outsourcing and/or consulting experience a plus
  • Qualified candidates must possess at least one of the following: CPC-H, CCS, RHIA, RHIT
  • Expert knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, DRG, APC and HCPCS
  • Strong understanding of coding compliance and regulatory environments
  • Working knowledge of various healthcare coding/ billing systems
  • An understanding of the billing and collections process within a hospital, RCM experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Visio)
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive within a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop, maintain and nurture client relationships & effectively work and collaborate across levels on projects
